Three new themed trails have just opened in the Tapada de Monserrate. And, like any self-respecting Lisbon local, you're probably already planning your next escape to those shaded paths among giant ferns and centuries-old trees. What you probably haven't planned yet is the return home with trousers stained with dry earth, a t-shirt with green grass streaks, and a suspicious pine scent. Stains are the return ticket from a day well spent — but they don't have to be permanent.
